Our It’s Wrap Marine team headed to sunny Barcelona to carry out a full transformation of the Lagoon 55 catamaran “Valletta,” including a complete color change and premium window tinting. Originally scheduled as a 5-day project in a dry dock, the reality on-site changed dramatically—we had only 2 days to complete the entire job.
With no room for error, we relied on our proven workflow, expert team, and premium materials to get the job done.
Premium Films and Skilled Application
For this striking makeover, we used high-performance 3M™ 2080 series wrap films in Gloss Lucid Yellow (G55) and High Gloss Black (G12). These cast vinyl films are specifically designed to conform to complex and curved marine surfaces. Thanks to 3M™ Controltac™ technology, we were able to easily position and reposition the film during application—an essential feature under tight time constraints.
We meticulously cleaned and prepped the entire hull to ensure perfect adhesion and long-term durability, free of imperfections or lifting.
Window Tinting
Next, we tinted the windows using XPEL CS 15 film, offering up to 82% UV protection. This premium tint not only enhances onboard privacy and aesthetics, but also significantly reduces heat, glare, and eye strain. The result? Greater onboard comfort and long-lasting interior protection against UV damage.
Final Result: A stunning Refit in Just 48 Hours
After two intense days of work, we delivered a transformed catamaran that truly turns heads. The sharp contrast of yellow and black gave “Valletta” a bold, modern character. The client was extremely satisfied with the final outcome.
We provided a 5-year warranty for complete peace of mind, ensuring the durability and performance of both wrap and window films.
